Nhut Thanh Vo,
Orange County’s Top Dog Trainer
Welcome to
my pack!
My story is…. unique to say the least. It is one of total and complete transformation.
Yes, we transform unruly dogs into obedient, furry friends - but my story is a transformation story of self.
Did you know?
Most dogs’ behavior problems stem from miscommunication, unfulfilled needs, and their owners’ lack of understanding of how dogs think.
This can create a ton of behavioral problems in your furry friend, including:
Unmanageable or rebellious behavior (disobedience)
Eliminating waste anywhere but in the designated area
Too much energy
Stealing/chewing your personal items
Biting, rough play or aggression
Escaping, bolting or chasing after moving objects
Jumping on people or the furniture
Separation anxiety
Excessive barking or whining
Begging for food
Digging
Pulling while on the leash
Help is available!
We believe you deserve a fulfilling and enriched relationship with your dog, and that every dog deserves to have their needs fulfilled through training and positive reinforcement.
That’s where we come in!
We use a three-part solution to correct your dog’s behavioral problems:
Start with the basics.
We teach basic commands like sit, down, stay, come, heel and leave. We also focus on your dog’s particular behaviors that need to be corrected.
Practice.
This is where we show you how to effectively communicate with your dog.
Proofing.
Follow-up sessions to ensure that the training is maintained and working!

TESTIMONIAL
“Nhut has truly been a blessing for us to come across for our reactive dog Toshi. Previous to working with Nhut, we’ve had a few trainers here and there that have given us some insight into how to better guide Toshi when interacting with the outside world. He’s been reactive to dogs and strangers in the past and we’d given up hope of Toshi ever getting comfortable with either. Nhut’s faith and belief in Toshi’s potential along with his compassion for him were very touching to see in our first meetings. His dedication, discipline, and patience in working with Toshi has made a huge turnaround in his reactivity to people & dogs. We never thought it was possible for Toshi to co-exist with unfamiliar dogs let alone strangers. All of that has been possible through Nhut and more. Seeing how much Toshi has grown to trust Nhut and his cousin, along with the outside world has been better than we ever imagined.“

‘We are fortunate to know Nhut Thanh Vo, owner and head trainer at Redemption Tails. Working with him has been an awesome experience because we got to witness his talent as a trainer. Nhut has vast knowledge, confidence, calm energy, and a deep love and respect for dogs. We are independent rescuers with a collective 26 years of experience and, without hesitation, recommend Nhut for dog parents seeking a behavioral trainer.
Lexi is an adult female who has been in rescue for 3 years. Although several circumstances contribute to her not yet finding her forever home, her insecurity around unfamiliar people results in nervous and defensive behaviors that are intimidating. Nhut was very patient with Lexi during her board and train at Redemption Tails. He worked with Lexi on confidence building, helping her feel safe and better connect with her handler, improved leash walking and recall. He reinforced that Place signified relaxation and grew her overall confidence to feel safer when encountering people in various environments. Lexi had the opportunity to meet dogs in a controlled and calm environment to work on socialization skills and had so much fun that she truly enjoyed her time in boarding.
Nhut’s effectiveness as a trainer is not solely due to his relationship with dogs but also in his explanations to people. He simplifies situations so we can understand what may be happening in the dog’s mind and provides clear instructions on how to support their mental health. With Lexi, he provided insight into triggers that increase her anxiety and tools on how to manage her state of mind. When Lexi moved into a foster home, Nhut continued to support her by explaining to the foster how best to support Lexi living with the resident dogs. His willingness to be available for follow-ups confirms his commitment to the dog’s well-being. Nhut treated Lexi like she was his own dog, so we were not surprised at how quickly she trusted him . Nhut is skilled in his craft so we trust him fully. Thank you, Nhut!”
